Director Judy Maina of Lakewood Havens

Message from Our Managing Director

Judy Maina

Greetings! I’m Judy Maina, the Managing Director of Lakewood Havens Kindergarten. I am deeply honored to oversee the day-to-day operations of this beautiful learning space and ensure that every detail reflects the warmth, excellence, and care that our children deserve.

As a trained psychologist with a strong foundation in mental health, I bring a holistic approach to child development and emotional well-being. My background also includes experience as a Trainer of Trainers and in mediation, equipping me to guide our staff with empathy, clarity, and professionalism. These qualifications not only support our team but also ensure that each child is understood, supported, and celebrated.

At Lakewood Havens, our mission is more than just academic excellence, we are shaping confident, kind, and curious individuals. From the classroom layout to the daily routines, each element is carefully crafted to support a child’s growth in a safe and loving environment.

My role involves being present with the children, with the teachers, and with you, the parents. I take joy in the small, meaningful moments: a child mastering a new skill, a teacher offering a reassuring word, or a parent feeling confident in the care their child receives.

I also lead our coordination with staff to ensure that Montessori principles are not only taught but lived. This means consistent training, close supervision, and an open-door policy for feedback and collaboration.

Whether it’s welcoming you at the door, responding to your concerns, or helping a child settle into the day with a smile, I am always here, engaged, attentive, and dedicated to making Lakewood Havens a second home for your child.

With warmest regards,
Judy Maina
